Murray State Shotgun Team Competes at Nationals

The Murray State shotgun team competed at the 2023 National Collegiate Shooting Sport Athletic Association Championships in Las Vegas last week.

The 12-person team competed in trap, sporting clays and skeet. Below are the results. Congratulations on a job well done!

High Overall:

3rd place - Clay Robertson; score 281

Clay was the highest overall average for 2022-2023 in Division 5. That’s a total of the National Championship and the Regional Qualifiers!

Sporting Clays:

3rd place - Clay Robertson; score 89

4th place team - Clay Robertson, Nolan Marcus, Ashton Huksaker, Dan Holley and Hunter Campbell

Skeet:

6th place - Clay Robertson

7th place - Nolan Marcus

Lady Aggies Basketball Advanced to National Championship

This was the Lady Aggies fifth appearance at the national championship tournament.

The girls fell to McClennan in overtime, 47-50. Congratulations, on the amazing season!

Murray State Women's Basketball

Murray State Hosts Townhall

Congressman Josh Brecheen held a townhall last week on Murray State's campus in Tishomingo. Constituents were invited to attend to share their thoughts and ask questions on policy issues impacting Oklahoma and Washington D.C.

Women's History Luncheon

The first ever women's history luncheon at MSC was held this past Wednesday to celebrate Women's History Month.

While everyone enjoyed a delicious meal catered by Great Western Dining Services, there was a panel of professional women: Labeth Nall, Susan Yeager and Kenzie Brown who told their stories and answered questions from the emcee, Quinton Jones.

Discussion included challenges women face in today's society.

MSC Men's and Women's Golf

The men's golf team won the MSC Aggie Invitational. Logan McCoid won his first collegiate tournament in a playoff. Parker Samuelson was also awarded all-tournament team.

The women's golf team was runner-up at the MSC Lady Aggie Invitational. Kylee Smith and Jaimee Copeland were awarded all-tournament team.
