Murray State Dean Receives Academic Award

Murray State College Dean of Learning and Student Success Tracey Hickman was awarded the Benjamin Cooper Academic Ambassador Award for his dedication to Oklahoma Quiz Bowl Camp.

New Murray State Website

On Wednesday, Murray State rolled out a brand new website to help reel in more prospective students but also to give current students, alumni, employees and anyone wanting to know more about Murray a cleaner, more organized space to do so. Our Communications and IT team worked very hard to make this happen.

Murray State All Employee Meeting

Murray State recently held its spring All Employee Meeting. It was a full day packed with information, lunch, comradery and celebrations. During this day, employees were invited to tour the new Academic Resource Center and the renovations to the library.

Girls on the Run

Murray State's Kelly Garrett & Jordyn Frazier participated in the Girls on the Run 5K on this past weekend.


Girls on the Run Southern Oklahoma is a non-profit organization that teaches essential life skills that blend with physical activity with life skill development, such as managing emotions, fostering friendships and expressing empathy

Ardmore Chamber Legislative Luncheon

Local legislators gave updates to community members and business leaders about current issues at the state capitol.

Shimkus Wins Region 2 Gold Glove Award

Murray State College baseball player, Mason Shimkus, won the Region 2 Gold Glove Award for a catcher.


The sophomore collected 225 putouts, 12 assists, and threw out five baserunners, while only being charged for one error on the season.
