Climate SMART Grant Signing

On Thursday, Chickasaw Nation Governor Bill Anoatubby and Murray State College President Dr. Tim Faltyn signed an agreement to make the Climate SMART Grant partnership official.


This grant will expand Murray State's agriculture program, and serve local farmers and special populations in the surrounding communities.

Mullens Earns Win No. 300

The Murray State College Softball Team swept the University of Arkansas Rich Mountain last weekend, 13-2 and 13-12.


With those victories, Coach Mullens earned his 300th career win!


The Lady Aggies are a perfect 24-0 in Region play and hold a 47-5 overall record.

Gunsmithing Club Recognitions

On Wednesday, Murray State's Gunsmithing Club held their last meeting of the 2023-24 academic school year. The club held a raffle drawing for two firearms. The drawing winners were Cacy Cribbs and Kristie Bueno.

Gunsmithing Instructor Raymond Self will retire on May 30 after six years of service to Murray State. They presented him with an engraved gun.


Thank you to the Custom Gunmaking students for their hard work on the Caspian 1911 pistol. Thank you to Scott Robertson for the donation of the .410 shotgun.

This year's Dan Byrd recipient is Silas Woodman.

The Dan Byrd award was started in 2016 to recognize an individual for selflessness, sacrifice, and commitment to, not only to their school work, but helping others as well. Students make nominations and a final ballot is made from the top nominees.

Gunsmithing Volunteer Cleanup Efforts

Murray State gunsmithing students and faculty joined hands with Senator James Lankford's staff to help cleanup in Sulphur, Oklahoma, following the severe weather over the weekend.

Men's Basketball Serving the Community

In conjunction with the Feeding Hope Organization in Durant, the Murray State College Men's Basketball Team helped serve food to the Durant community.

FFA Speech Contest

On Monday, Murray State College hosted 110 students for the Southeast Area FFA Speech Contest. Students competed in 11 speech topics ranging from the FFA Creed to animal science and agribusiness.

DRH Foundation Gala

Murray State College sponsored a table at the DRH Foundation Gala.

Murray State College's Director of Retail Services Stephanie Henry was honored at the Johnston County Chamber Banquet for her service as a former board member.

Aggies Win Last Oklahoma Event of the Year

The Murray State College Bass Fishing Team continued their dominance in the state of Oklahoma this past weekend.

Dylan Reed and Cooper Hughes won the final event of the year in Oklahoma at Keystone Lake.

The Murray State College Rodeo Team had two sets of team ropers make it to the finals at the Panhandle State University Rodeo this past Saturday.

Men's Golf Ranked No. 9 in Latest Poll

The Murray State College Men’s Golf jumped into the Top10 of the latest edition of the Bushnell/Golfweek NJCAA DII Coaches Poll.


The Aggies moved up a couple spots to the No. 9 ranking.

Aggies Keep Playoff Hopes Alive

The Murray State College Baseball Team swept Redlands Community College in a four-game series this past weekend to keep their postseason hopes alive.


The Aggies won a non-conference game against Rose State College earlier in the week and have a pivotal series to end the regular season against Carl Albert State College to determine who will clinch a berth in the Region 2 Tournament.

Lady Aggies Show Improvement in Final Tournament of Season

Just as the Murray State College Women's Golf Team has displayed all year, the Lady Aggies showed tremendous improvement over the three days at the NJCAA Southwest District Women's Tournament.


The Lady Aggies battled valiantly against a district that included seven of the Top-20 teams in the country to finish in ninth place.
