In Honor of Shelby Wilson

Last Saturday, family, friends and community members celebrated the life of Shelby Wilson. She was a member of Coach Aaron Mullen's very first Murray State Lady Aggies softball team in 2017.

Shelby passed away at the young age of 26 from cancer, just one week after graduating from the University of Oklahoma.

Her daughter, Kinsleigh, threw the first pitch to start the second game.

Professor Wes Reddish's Physical Science Class

MSC Professor Wes Reddish’s physical science students made boats for lab this past week. They tested each one to see if it would float ,and then added weight to see how much it would take to sink or capsize them. The purpose of the activity was to test their understanding of buoyancy and stability.

At the beginning of the semester, Professor Reddish told his students that at the

4-week grade turn-in mark that if every member of the class had their assignments completed and each student had a passing grade, the class could pick a color and he would dye his hair that color.

Two classes showed a significant improvement on those two metrics. One class fulfilled the criteria. The color they picked was pink.

Professor Reddish plans to keep his hair that way until Spring Break.
