Murray State College and SouthernTech Sign OTA Pathway Agreement

Murray State College and SouthenTech signed an agreement to create a pathway for students from SouthernTech’s Medical Assistant program to earn an Associate of Applied Science degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant through Murray State’s OTA program.

 

Murray State and SouthernTech will work together to provide additional occupational therapy education opportunities and increased access to the surrounding communities.

Dr. Campanini and her team have developed an online OTA program to provide additional educational options for students.

Johnston and Marshall County Fair Award Winners

Murray State College is proud to sponsor local fair activities that instill confidence and public speaking skills in youth from a young age.

The two fair senior winners received $1,500 tuition waivers, and the runners-up received $1,000 tuition waivers.

The junior fair winners received $100 gift card to Murray on Main or the Murray State bookstore. The runners-up received $50 gift card to Murray on Main or the Murray State bookstore.

Financial Literacy Event

Thank you to Michael Pittman for sharing his Financial Literacy Workshop with our students this week.



It was an informative and fun presentation that helped our students learn how to become financially successful.

Men's Soccer Upsets #12 Eastern Oklahoma State

The men's soccer team dominated No. 12 Eastern Oklahoma State College from start to finish on Wednesday, 5-1.


Dominic Woolley and Lucas Peruzo paced Murray State as they each scored a pair of goals, while Jaron Nobles recorded five saves in the victory.


Meanwhile, the #20 women's team played terrific defense to earn a draw against Eastern Oklahoma State.

Bass Fishing Team Begins Season Strong

Team members Shaden Farley and Trace Kight placed 56th out of 198 teams at the Major League Fishing tournament at Sam Rayburn.

The Inaugural Class of Murray State Nursing Students at DRH Health

Congratulations, to the Murray State College Nursing inaugural class on your new journey at DRH Health in Duncan, Oklahoma.

Park Rangers visit Murray State College

Thank you to National Park Rangers, Ron Parker and Linda Richards, for speaking to our students about the internships, jobs and volunteer opportunities available within the National Parks Service. 


Some opportunities include working at the Chickasaw National Recreation Area in Sulphur and Fish & Wildlife Refuge in Tishomingo.

Hispanic Heritage Traveling Exhibit

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Murray State College is hosting a Traveling Exhibit through the Oklahoma History Center. The exhibit is in the library and free for all.

The exhibit will be available for viewing from Sept. 12-27 at the Tishomingo campus and

Sept. 29-Oct. 15 at the Ardmore campus.

Dr. Faltyn Welcomes Murray State Golf Teams

Dr. Faltyn welcomed the golf teams this week.


The Aggie golf teams are off to a great start this season with the men's team being ranked in the Top 10.

Murray State College Veterinary Nursing Advisory Board Meeting

Murray State College President Dr. Tim Faltyn welcomed the Murray State College Veterinary Nursing Advisory Board during their annual meeting.

New Addition to Soccer Team

The Murray State College soccer teams adopted "Tube Socks," a shelter dog that was at Ardmore Animal Care for the last two months.


They even gave him a tour around campus. If you see Tube Socks, be sure to welcome him!
