MSC Shotgun Training Facility Open House

Community members came out to the College's new shotgun team training facility for a tour of the new sporting clay course and to view recent renovations.


Murray State Shotgun Team Coach Scott Robertson showed off his skills during a trick shot exhibition. Scott's wife, Wendy, conducted a women's clinic, teaching participants about gun safety. 


Murray State College President Dr. Tim Faltyn welcomed more than 70 people, including four Murray State Board of Regent members who were in attendance throughout the day’s activities.

BancFirst Check Presentation

BancFirst Trust & Investment Management presented a $5,000 check to President Dr. Tim Faltyn and Vice President of Ardmore Ginger Cothran for the Ittapila` Scholarship Endowment.


This was part of the scholarship challenge posted by the Chickasaw Nation and Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education.


OTA Summer Conference

More than 60 students attended the OTA's annual summer conference.

Students learned about: Primitive Reflex Integration, Mental Health in OT, Cognition Management in the Older Adult, Neutralizing Muscle Tone through Neuro Re-Education and How to Build a OT fieldwork program.

MSC Quiz Bowl Camp

60 students attended Murray State's quiz bowl camp earlier this week.


23 different classes were offered throughout the week.

Murray State Hosts Drone Camps

Murray State College held a drone seminar at McAlester Public School to teach students about drones and careers that can be obtained by having knowledge of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS). Each participant practiced and went home with their own drone.
