Park J. Student Union Groundbreaking

Murray State College held a groundbreaking ceremony for the renovation and expansion of the Park Student Union located on the Tishomingo campus. The student union was originally constructed in 1964, and it is believed that it has only undergone one minor renovation since then.

The $7 million project includes an update to 14,000 square feet of space in the building with an expansion of 9,000 square feet for the Thomas E. Barnett Ballroom

Michelin Resource Fair

Murray State College was one of more than 20 employers who attended the Michelin Resource Fair.

Murray State provided information on the specific programs and financial aid available for those looking to upskill or reskill for employment opportunities.

Approximately 350 people visited the fair looking for guidance or just to learn about their options as Michelin winds down operations.

Higher Education Day

On Thursday, Murray State College students attended Higher Ed Day at the Oklahoma State Capitol.

They visited with Speaker of the House Charles McCall, Representatives Josh Cantrell and Tammy Townley, and Senator Jerry Alvord.

The students also heard from Oklahoma Chancellor Allison Garrett, Governor Stitt and other legislators during a special program in the House of Representatives chamber.

Senator Alvord also talked about the bills he is working on and how the process works in the Senate.

The students enjoyed hearing from Speaker of the House of Representatives Charles McCall.

Representatives Josh Cantrell and Tammy Townley explained how bills work and what bills they were working on.

Voice of Freedom by Judge David Lewis

Judge David Lewis, the first African American to serve as presiding judge of the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Affairs, traveled to Murray State to talk to students on Wednesday.

Combs Wins High Individual

Sophomore Ryleigh Combs won High Individual in the Swine Division at the Southwestern Exposition and Livestock Show this past weekend.

The Murray State College Livestock Judging Team also placed first in the swine division, fourth overall as a team, fourth in horses, and fifth in the sheep and goats category. Ryan Ball also performed well for the Aggies as she finished in the No. 11 spot in the horses division.

Ardmore Students Donate to Animal Shelter

The students, faculty and staff donated more than 300 pounds of food and treats to the Ardmore Animal Shelter. They delivered the items and spent some time volunteering.

Popping to Blooming - Galentines, Palentines and Valentines Event

Murray State College students enjoyed a perfect evening for friends and relationships with food, music, games, and a movie on Tuesday.

Bass Fishing Completes First 2024 Tournament

The Murray State College Bass Fishing Team participated in their first tournament of the 2024 season. The Aggies competed against 244 teams on a new lake and grabbed some good points in the overall standings.

Softball Sweeps Otero Junior College

The No. 11 Murray State College Softball Team defeated Otero Junior College, 19-2 and 6-1, on Wednesday.

With the wins, the Lady Aggies improve to 8-0 on the season.

Aggies Pick Up Region 2 Victories

The Murray State College Men's Basketball Team earned a Region 2 win this week as they bested Seminole State on Thursday.

With this week's results, both Aggie teams are in third place in the Region 2 standings.

The Murray State College Women's Basketball Team picked up two Region 2 victories this week as they defeated Western Oklahoma State College on Monday and Seminole State on Thursday.

Baseball Begins Season 2-1

The (RV) Murray State College Baseball Team is 2-1 on the season with a pair of victories over Grayson College.
