Murray State College Attends 2023 Higher Education Legislative Tour

Colleges and universities in southeast Oklahoma, as well as area legislators and state regents gathered in Krebs, Oklahoma, to discuss higher education. 


The group was introduced to Murray State student government students, staff and Board of Regents chair Suzie Brewster. 


Chancellor Garrett discussed the 2023 funding request for the legislature and some highlights of the upcoming strategic plan from OSRHE.

Murray State College Shooting Range Used By Local Law Enforcement

For one week, law enforcement from a surrounding community utilized MSC's firing range.


Fifty members of the agency will be certified to use upgraded equipment to better protect our communities.

Murray State is not only an educational resource for our students but also valuable to other entities around the area to help meet their strategic objectives.

Great Western Dining Recognized by Local Chamber

Melissa Barton and the Great Western Dining team helped behind the scenes with Johnston County Chamber's Breakfast with Santa event.


Melissa has been with Murray for eight years as the director of Great Western Dining.


"She and her team do an amazing job and work hard to represent Great Western and Murray well," said Dr. Tim Faltyn, Murray State College President. "We appreciate their hard work."


"I hold the core values of providing the best service and food, while also being a partner and giving back to the community," Barton said. I am blessed with the respect of the Tishomingo community and Murray State College. It is an honor to work with them."

Murray's 2022 Occupational Therapy Assistant Class Graduates

The nine program graduates will now take on the industry they love with the knowledge and skills they've learned to better serve their clients. It's a new chapter in their book of life. Congratulations!
