Murray State Bass Fishing Team Wins State Awards

The Murray State College Bass Fishing Team took home awards at the Oklahoma BASS Fishing Championship.

Oklahoma State Regents Visit Murray State

On Wednesday, the Oklahoma State Regents held their committee-of-the-whole meeting on Murray State's campus.

President Dr. Tim Faltyn provided a college history, update and how we are aligning with Blueprint 2030.

Murray State College Student Government Association President Jaysen Welty shared his story and future goals.

Murray State's Student Government Association officers helped with the tour of campus.

During lunch, Murray State's Academic A and B teams showed off their skills with a quick competition against each other.

Following their meeting, Murray State President Faltyn took them on a quick tour of campus. Stops included the Science and Ag Building, Veterinary Nursing, the Livestock Team Show Barn and the Shotgun Team Training Facility.

We also celebrated Regent Ann Holloway's birthday. Regent Holloway is a Murray State College alum.

Murray State's Bass Fishing and Golf Teams joined in on the celebration.

Murray State Nursing Win From Within Program

On Thursday night, 11 Murray State nursing students signed an agreement with Mercy Hospital in the Win From Within Program. The program provides students who apply with a head start on their education. Mercy is offering tuition assistance for students enrolled in pre-nursing and nursing courses as well as guaranteed job placement.

Senior Day

Murray State College President Dr. Tim Faltyn welcomed 45 high school seniors to campus for Senior Day. Students were able to meet with advisors in their chosen degree field and enroll in classes.

Murray State College Faculty and Staff Attend HLC Conference

Murray State faculty and staff traveled to Chicago for the annual HLC Conference.

They had the opportunity to hear from leaders as they shared their ideas and insights on the latest in higher education.

Murray In Ardmore - Active Violence Emergency Response Training

Janson Bazzrea provided Murray State College faculty and staff with hands-on training for emergency situations. This initiative aims to ensure that Murray State employees have life-saving training and can effectively protect the campus.

Lt. Governor Invitational Turkey Hunt

Last week, the Ardmore Development Authority and a team of community volunteers played host for the 2024 Lt. Governor's Invitational Turkey Hunt.

The awards dinner was held at Murray State's Event Center.

Murray In Ardmore - Art Reception

Murray in Ardmore hosted a reception on Tuesday to honor the wonderful work of Betty Dolman and Kim Johnston. Murray State's Che Deer had a table set up with information about Hydroponic Wick systems and growing plants.

Reach Higher Program Spring Reception

The Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education's Reach Higher program celebrated their students for work and dedication at the spring reception in Ardmore.

HealthCorps Health Fair

Murray State College and the Chickasaw Nation hosted a health fair for students to learn ways to better their own physical and mental health.

Murray State PSP Students' Project Demonstrations

Murray State's PSP students concluded their program with group presentations. This year, they focused on water, from law to proper usage and conservation.

Lady Aggies Move Up to No. 3 Ranking

For the second consecutive week, the Murray State College softball team jumped one spot to the No. 3 ranking, which was released by the national office.

The Lady Aggies are 41-5 overall and a perfect 18-0 in region play.

Aggies Continue Winning Ways

After defeating Richland, 7-4, on Monday and coming out victorious in two games against Redlands Community College on Thursday, the Murray State College baseball team has now won six of their past seven games.

The Aggies have two more games series coming up with Region 2 foe, Redlands Community College.

Lady Aggies Sweep Rockets

The Murray State College Softball Team continued to overwhelm Region 2 opponents as the Lady Aggies swept SAU Tech on Monday, 11-9 and 13-0.

Murray State College travels to Arkansas to battle the University of Arkansas Rich Mountain.
