Higher Education Day at the Oklahoma Capitol

Murray State College students attended Higher Education Day at the Oklahoma Capitol this past Tuesday.


Students had informative discussions with Speaker of the House Charles McCall, and our Senators Chris Kidd and Jerry Alvord, and Representatives Josh Cantrell and Tammy Townley.


Alex Robinson represented MSC on the floor of the House of Representatives by speaking about how much of an impact Murray has made on his life.

Nursing Degree Opportunities Expand with MSC-OU Partnership

Murray State College and the University of Oklahoma have announced a partnership to extend educational opportunities for nursing students with an associate's degree.

Murray State College and Tishomingo Water Agreement

Murray State College and the City of Tishomingo recently signed an agreement that paves the way for the use of funds received by the city through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) to update and expand its water infrastructure, and eventually allow Murray State to connect into the city's water system.

Murray State Spring Enrollment Increases

Murray State College’s final enrollment report for the spring 2023 semester reflects an increase in both student headcount and credit hours.

Student enrollment increased by 1% and credit hours by 5%.


Murray State’s online classes contributed about 56%, with 1,146 students fully online. The concurrent classes in the high schools are also on the rise.

Boots & Bowties Fundraiser

Part of Murray State's executive team attended this year's fundraiser, which supports the Carter County Junior Livestock show.


Murray State was "Top Hand" sponsor.

Ardmore and Marshall County Chamber of Commerce Banquets

Murray State College was a bronze sponsor for the Marshall County Chamber Banquet, and a Gold Sponsor for the Ardmore Chamber banquet.

District 17 Superintendents' Meeting

Murray State College hosted 44 school superintendents from District 17 for their monthly meeting.


Dr. Faltyn shared an overview of the great things that are (and to come) happening at Murray State.

Southern Oklahoma Library System Partnership Update

Last fall, Murray State and the Southern Oklahoma Library System joined together to enhance students' access to library resources.


Since then, their database usage has doubled, with the Reference Solutions almost doubling this month
