STUDENT FORUM SCHOOL GROUP REGISTRATION OPEN

Each year the museum and International Paper provides admission and transportation for middle and high school students to the Student Forum held at Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church,
Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 10am
. The program allows students and educators of the Memphis community the opportunity to hear from leaders in the struggle for civil rights.
Transportation provided for Shelby County Schools only. However, metro area schools may reserve groups if they are providing own transportation. To confirm your reservation for the Student Forum event, a mandatory Chaperone Meeting must be attended. Deadline for school group registration is

Keeper of the Dream Award nominations are open
International Paper and the National Civil Rights Museum are accepting applications for this year’s Keeper of the Dream award, honoring 6th -12th graders throughout the Greater Memphis Area who have demonstrated a commitment to ensuring equal rights and opportunities for others.
The Keeper of the Dream Award, now in its 16th year, parallels the National Civil Rights Museum Freedom Award honoring men and women who are recognized for their work in the struggle for civil and human rights. Target Grant for Free Museum Field Trips for Title 1 Schools
Thanks to the Target Free Museum Field Trips for Title I Schools, for the sixth year the Museum will provide free museum field trips to groups of up to 45 students and 5 chaperones. Any Title 1 school in the counties of Shelby, Tipton, and Fayette in Tennessee, DeSoto in Mississippi and Crittenden in Arkansas may apply for the free field trip. Only Shelby County schools are provided transportation.
