Greetings!
What a great times we are having at the museum. Betty LaDuke's exhibit was so well received. We had a total of 1683 visits over the 39 days of the exhibit. People came from 13 different US states, 27 different cities in Oregon, and one couple from South America! Thanks again to our sponsors, Redwood Nursery and the Ford Family Foundation.
Congratulations to Cal Kenney, one of our long time board members. He is now the interim chairperson of the Committee on Public Art for the City (CoPA). He has organized Poetry Sharing for over ten years.
As we head into the summer months, we look forward to many more visitors. Especially with the SAQA exhibit that opened on Tuesday. People from all around come to Oregon for the Sister's Quilt Festival - and sometimes they come here too.
We would like to grow our membership. One of our board members just gifted a membership to her neighbor. Another member gave a new membership to a friend as a "thank you for being my friend gift." Think about it. It's a gift that lasts the entire year!
We will be open for the First Friday Stroll from 5 until 8pm. Hope to see you.
Be sure and check the website frequently because we are constantly updating programs and events as they get scheduled. We really look forward to seeing you.
Warm regards,
Hyla
Executive Director
