We are passionately committed to continuing to serve our community. Being closed has a significant financial impact on our organization. We know that there are many economic challenges affecting everyone. But if at all possible, please consider  becoming a member  or making a donation  to help the Museum at this time. Thank you!

How you can help make the Museum safer:

  • Please do not visit if you feel sick, have a temperature above 100°F, or have recently been in contact with someone who is sick
  • Have membership card(s) present or purchase tickets in advance (advance purchase ticketing available soon)
  • Avoid unnecessary touching of surfaces
  • Properly worn face masks are required for visitors over the age of 2 (Per Order C1907)
  • Maintain 6 feet of social distance from those not from your household; children must stay with adults at all times

From the MSC Team

While our galleries may be closed to the public, our dedicated team is still committed to carrying out our mission to “engage and inspire" our community. We are continuing to care for our collection, prepare for upcoming exhibitions, and planning virtual public programs.
"I am currently working on a major new exhibition that will occupy the upstairs, mezzanine galleries at the museum sometime in 2021. . . This project really gets to the core of why the Museum exists! Not only do we collect, store, and preserve physical objects in our collection, it is our job to maintain the stories and information that go along with those objects. It’s our mission to make the important stories of who we are accessible for everyone- and hopefully in a way that entertains and educates."

-Eric Stanley, Associate Director and Curator of History
