Our long awaited return to MANHATTAN will begin in July. This EXCURSION is planned so you can take your pick from a number of wonderful exhibits before they close. As before, and for the past 29 years, you can ride our safe, comfortable motor coach and enjoy NEW YORK CITY on your own.

MUSEUM OF MODERN ART METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART & more! THURSDAY, JULY 15, 2021

On view at the MUSEUM OF MODERN ART is ALEXANDER CALDER: MODERN FROM THE START (closes August 7), an engaging exhibit of early wire and wood figures, works on paper, jewelry, mobile and abstract sculpture demonstrating the versatility and genius of the 20th century artist.  CEZANNE DRAWING with over 250 rarely seen works in pencil and watercolors is viewed alongside of finished paintings, showing the brilliance and dedicated process of the 19th century French artist. It will be there until September 25.

At the METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART you won't want to miss ALICE NEEL, PEOPLE COME FIRST, the dazzling retrospective of the 20th century American Social Realist painter. The exhibition includes over 100 paintings, drawings, still lifes and watercolors of streetscapes, interiors and of course, her surreal and provocative portraits. ALICE NEEL, PEOPLE COME FIRST, will close on August 1. Opening soon is THE MEDICI: PORTRAITS AND POLITICS, 1532-1570, with paintings, sculptural busts, gemstones, manuscripts and more, showcasing the explosion of culture in 16th century Florence as the city became a duchy ruled by the Medici family.

Not far way from the MET are the , FRICK MADISON, the JEWISH MUSEUM the NEUE GALERIE and the THE GUGGENHEIM - and they are all open on Thursdays. All of these museums will require timed tickets in advance. even if you are a member. When you check your preferred museum's website, you will find this easy to arrange. Consider arrival time in New York and lunch arrangements when scheduling your admission time. Do not hesitate to call upon me for assistance if you need it.

There will be one pickup at the end of the day in Mid-town TBA. Suggestions for lunch will be provided prior to departure. It will be necessary to follow protocols of each museum you visit.
