The Special Events Arena at the Coosa Valley Fairgrounds was transformed into a fun, intimate setting on Saturday, May 8th, for An Evening with Scott Thompson - Songs I Wrote and Songs I Wish I Wrote, to benefit the Family Resource CenterTickets were sold for 8x8 boxes for up to four people, food was available for pre-purchase and drinks were available at a cash bar. Opening acts Hunter Blalock and Grant Hadley with his band Rusted Soul quickly gained audience approval as they took turns entertaining us with their completely unique styles. Opener Hunter Blalock sang straight from his heart into the hearts of the crowd and Grant Hadley and his band Rusted Soul mesmerized the audience with his smooth vocals in a songwriter's round.

Then Scott Thompson took the stage and drew us all in with his infectious smile and beautiful voice, playing songs from his own playlist as well as many of his favorites from other artists.

Approximately 175 people attended the event, which promises to become an annual favorite. Save the date for June 4, 2022!
