MUSIC MONDAYS

Dear friend

All the rituals and celebrations of this season exist to remind us of the resilience and exuberance of life.
We throw open the windows to once again watch and hear masterpieces of music live. We open our hearts and minds to bring a new generation into classical music.
We invest in a future full of art and cultural connection to enrich our shared community.
This is the mission of Dranoff 2 Piano.

We look ahead to 2022, but we do need you to come along with us. This past year has forced on all of us difficult adjustments, and much smaller budgets. Still, throughout the past year we have been in touch with you every week and celebrated with Music Monday and Breath of Music. (They are archived on our website.) Countless hours of shared music, poetry, images. We hope this has sustained you, and we hope that you can make a gift to our Spring Fundraiser to sustain us into the future.

Please join us as we bring artist performances into the new season. Invest in the music and support of our spring fundraising drive.

Last week Dranoff sold out Cuba Symphonic,  our first live performance in a year, to standing ovations and honking horns of under the stars and in your cars.

Dranoff kept alive PianoSlam in our public schools with a theme that is sadly, but needfully topical: Miami Memories. What’s Changed during this year of the pandemic.

Almost 8000 Miami-Dade Public School teens heard Yoshie and Takashi‘s bright and inventive piano performance live from Tokyo. We will see those performances in our virtual video show presented on May 13, a as the finalists of the writing competition to share with us their poems on how they came to terms with their Miami Memories.
This show will be filmed all over Miami, with scenes at the Arsht Center which is again our co-presenter, recitals at PAMM, even the Mayor dancing in a Tik-Tok video.

The 2021 season ends August 29 with a brand new score and performance by Jeroen van Veen and Mike del Ferro to Buster Keaton’s The Navigator in partnership with a Coral Gables Art cinema.

Good things to look forward to.

Warmly,

Gabriele Fiorentino
