Let’s start with the February concert. We are so delighted to present Asiya Korepanova and her partner Ilya Kasantsev in a romantic concert of Russian composers.
In today's video, Asiya is paying tribute to Tchaikovsky in a special performance commemorating his 180th birthday with his 18 Morceaux, op. 72. In her own words: “This work is a one-piece organism, consisting of different parts-moods. It can be melancholic, striking, soothing, refreshing, mournful, inspiring, colorful, trembling, and at the end of the day, grandiose in its depiction of an enormous human soul.”
The second selection with quite a different spectrum of sound and energy is included in the February concert by Asiya and Ilya. Below you can listen to a performance by the composer and his son.
