Dear Gabriele -
All the winter celebrations ceremonialize the coming of Light and Joy. Beginning on December 1 with Advent (literally: coming to you) Hanukkah, Christmas and Kwanzaa celebrate the return of longer days, ending with Chinese New Year in February.
Yearend is also a vantage point for reflection on the past, and we at the Dranoff2 have much to celebrate – the joy of sold out audiences for our traditional classical concerts as well as musical arts not always viewed through the lens of European classics. West Africa Beats, Music of Cuban Independence, new film scores for silent films and the great adventure of Piano Slam all brought together enthusiastic audiences eager to discover new high art from different backgrounds.
Thank you to everyone who have supported Dranoff2’s music and artists this year! Your recent gifts through Give Miami Day enabled us to reach 67% of our goal, and there are still over 2 weeks to make a tax deductible gift to Dranoff2 Piano and our future.
The future in 2023 Dranoff2 is filled with bright lights of classically trained artists performing the excellence in repertoire of their traditions, homeland and a new breadth of contemporary great art.
Please join us. And have a joyful week!
Warmly,
Gabriele Fiorentino
