Dear Gabriele -
From its inception, the Dranoff2 has invested in the future of classical musicians and their music. Evolving from a core of international 2 piano competitions, today Dranoff presents multi genre music collaborations concerts that explore the influence of the world’s great composers both living and past on musical genres today. Dranoff2’s arts integration initiatives, especially Piano Slam, include the history of music & art and music & creative writing for teens.
The scintillating Asiya Korepanova and Illya Kazantsev, Duo 88 x 20, celebrate a tribute to Rachmaninoff‘s 150th birthday that will include the two composers who heavily influenced his work: Bach and Brahms.
Take a look also at the other concerts of the 2022-2023 Dranoff season, filled with the diversity of music and artists representing our world today.
A very happy announcement about this season is that we are commissioning a new piece of music by one of today’s treasures of Latin Jazz. Stay tuned to find out more in this space.
Another aspect of the season is Piano Slam which, for the past 14 years, has been bringing live classical music to over 100,000 teens in Miami Dade public schools. We cannot wait to see their creative voices writing on music and issues of today.
I hope you have a bright and beautiful week.
Warmly,
Gabriele Fiorentino
President,
