2023 has definitely been a year in which our notions about technology, history and our common humaneness have all been tested. (But frankly, which one hasn't?) I invite you to find strength in the creative forces that propel us and to believe in the intelligent training of our imagination muscle. It's our key to navigation. As we embrace the new beginnings of the year, I have announcements about my past and current season's music highlights that I hope you'll want to know about and events that I hope you'll want to be a part of. LUCID ITERATIONS 3 in Rhapsody in Blue Gershwin CENTENNIAL

In celebration of George Gershwin's 1924 masterpiece, Composers Concordance presents an evening of new music inspired by his life and music. My LUCID ITERATIONS 3 for clarinet and electronic sound will receive its world premiere at this concert, featuring clarinetist Michiyo Suzuki. The concert will be live streamed HERE.

The video of my piece 'Once You Are Not A Stranger' for string orchestra, electric bass guitar and electronic sound garnered over 40,000 views. This performance took place at the DiMenna Center for Classical Music in NYC as part of The Ear Classical competition and features the Shattered Glass Ensemble along Patrick Derivaz on electric bass and myself on synthesizers as part of the backing track. The piece is released on my 2020 album EXTENSION. Grateful for the love.

‘Brilliant Belgian Singer’ Dr. Françoise Vanhecke, voice and keyboards, performed my TATTOO for mezzo-soprano, piano and electronic sound in her show Solissima to great acclaim.

The concerts took place in Belgium in Nov and Dec 2023 at toitoiDROME and the Wouter De Bruycker Fine Arts & Gallery in Antwerpen, and in Muziekcentrum Track in Kortrijk.

Happy to announce that The American Society of Composers, Authors & Publishers (ASCAP) - Concert Music Division - has selected me as one of the ASCAP Plus Award recipients given for the year of 2023. These awards are given to "…writer members… whose works were performed in un-surveyed media as well as writer members whose catalogs have prestige value.” I'm proud to say that this award wouldn’t be in existence without ASCAP’s vision and the fierce and dedicated work of my fellow ASCAP composers and friends who also received the award!
