The Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra is saddened by the news of the passing of GLCO Musician, Michael Erwin. We extend our sympathies to his wife, Deanna Erwin, and Mother-in-Law, Elizabeth Bert, also GLCO Musicians.
"It is with great regret that I have to let you know of the death of a member of our GLCO family. Michael Erwin died peacefully in his home in Florida on July 22, 2020 of kidney failure. Michael joined GLCO in 2012 when he moved from Florida to Michigan. He had decided to move back to Florida in 2019 and spend time in Michigan- weather permitting, but his health did not permit that. He had begun dialysis and his ultimate decision was to discontinue treatment. He loved playing with GLCO and felt that music was the great communicator- crossing all barriers. Love to you all, Deanna Erwin "
