The production highlighted not only the strength of La Quinta’s visual and performing arts program, but also the passion and collaboration of its students, staff, and supporters.

Los Amigos High School Early College Academy

Students Celebrate a Special Milestone

Los Amigos High School Early College Academy (ECA) students had a milestone moment this week as the school welcomed Golden West College’s Dean of Enrollment for Graduation Petition Day—and the results were incredible with 56 students applying for their AA degree!

The celebration was just as memorable, with students ringing the traditional application bell, signing the Class of 2026 banner, and capturing the moment with friends. We are so proud of our Early College Academy students who take college courses while in high school and graduate with a competitive advantage – many earning their Associate’s Degree.

GGUSD & OC United Way Host Successful College Readiness Workshop

More than 200 GGUSD parents & students took an exciting step toward future success at last night's Demystifying College Myths Workshop, hosted in partnership with OC United Way at Alamitos Intermediate School!

The engaging evening brought together students and parents from across grade levels to learn valuable strategies for preparing for the college journey at every stage while debunking common misconceptions about college. From building strong academic habits in elementary school to navigating financial aid and college applications in high school, each session was thoughtfully tailored to support students along their path to higher education. Board of Education Trustee Teri Rocco attended to show her support.

Families also enjoyed dinner together and had the opportunity to win a free laptop, making the night both informative and fun!

On Wednesday, Bolsa Grande High School welcomed families to an exciting Open House filled with student achievement and school pride. Guests explored impressive CTE student showcases, visited classrooms featuring student work, and enjoyed vibrant lion dance performances. The evening highlighted the many opportunities available to students and the strong connection between school and home. Bolsa Grande High School values every opportunity to welcome parents and families to campus and partner together in supporting student success. Go Matadors!

GGUSD has opened pre-enrollment for the 2026-27 school year. We encourage families registering children in Preschool, Transitional Kindergarten (TK) and Kindergarten to get started today!

Free Live-Chat Tutoring for All GGUSD Students

GGUSD has partnered with Varsity Tutors to offer FREE 24/7 live chat tutoring and one-hour tutoring sessions to support students in their academic success (Goal 1). The program is accessible from home through ClassLink using a district-provided device.
