The American Flags along our Road Ways Look Great!

They make you proud to be an American and Muskego Citizen. That display, and others, are possible because of the American Flag Project operated by American Legion Post 356 in cooperation with the City of Muskego and supported by the businesses and citizens of Muskego. The flags will be going up soon. They fly from spring through Veteran's Day. These flags serve as a recognition and reminder of the sacrifices of past and present Armed Forces members, their families and other patriots who serve our nation.

Funds for this impressive display come from the citizens of Muskego, individuals and businesses. Please consider sponsoring a flag or several. For just $20 per flag, you can help our community look impressive and honor those who work to preserve our freedom.

Contact Fred Rahm at 414-828-3733.
Checks can be made out to American Flag Project, PO Box 92. Muskego, WI 53150

The name you are dedicating a flag to will be read at the Flag Retirement Ceremony held the second Saturday of October.

Area Code Required to Make Local Calls
People in Wisconsin will soon have to dial local numbers using 10 digits — the area code and the seven-digit phone number. Currently, people in Wisconsin can place a call to a number in the same area code without dialing the area code. That option will end Oct. 23. This will affect both landlines and cellphones and all of Wisconsin's six area codes — 262, 414, 534, 608, 715 and 920 — as well as more than two dozen other states that have not already switched to 10-digit dialing.

The change is because the Federal Communications Commission is establishing 988 as the new, nationwide, phone number for suicide prevention and mental health help. Until the two-year transition is complete in July 2022, people in need of the hotline should continue to dial 800-273-8255 (800-273-TALK). Read the Article
