First and foremost—thank you. I hope you feel incredibly proud of the difference you're making in our community. We simply wouldn’t be where we are today without YOU!

It’s hard to believe that 2025 marked the 13th year of Must! Charities. What started as a simple, grassroots idea has grown into a powerful, community-wide initiative—supporting numerous nonprofits and impacting thousands of lives year after year. In the past three years, we’ve expanded our team by three incredible individuals, allowing us to deepen our work and broaden our impact.

Today, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news: We’re welcoming a game-changing addition to our leadership team—Cara Wright, former CEO of Farm Supply, is joining Must! Charities as our new Director of Development and Community Engagement!

Cara is a fourth-generation leader with deep roots in San Luis Obispo County. She brings a unique and powerful blend of heart, experience, and vision to our organization. As a long-standing member of our Collaborative Circle for the past decade, Cara already knows our mission inside and out—and she’s been an active part of it.

She said it best:

“Must! Charities is not just about giving—it’s about making strategic, long-term investments that create real, lasting change.”

Cara brings both warmth and action to everything she does. Her leadership will help us forge new partnerships, amplify our impact, and guide us into an exciting new chapter of growth. This moment reflects all we have achieved - and the incredible potential that lies ahead.
