Emerging Leaders Program (ELP)
In partnership with SMCC, CMCC students can virtually participate in the Emerging Leaders Program. Students can expect to develop their own personal "why" as a leader, develop leadership skills, how to run effective meetings, and how to delegate tasks in a group.
The ELP begins on February 8 with sessions running Mondays, 1:00PM-2:00PM and Thursdays, 11:00AM-12:00PM. The ELP runs until March 11.

Meet your peers at our meetings and in return you will learn about scholarships, incentives, networking events, important college dates, and an upcoming spring community service project. The Higher Opportunity for Pathways to Employment (HOPE) Program helps families with low incomes to afford education beyond high school. The HOPE Program offers eligible students financial support for costs related to education.
If you need support for things such as child care, transportation, tuition or books, the HOPE Program is here to help you stay on track and reach your goals! The Richard H. Pierce Memorial Scholarship
The Richard H. Pierce Memorial Scholarship is established in honor of MES founder, Dick Pierce, who passed away in 2011, these scholarships are awarded based on merit and financial need. The goal is to provide support for students who might not otherwise continue their post-secondary education without financial assistance.
Requirements for eligibility:
- Be a Maine resident entering 1st year of post-secondary education
- Intend to enroll or be enrolled in a two (2) or four (4) year degree-granting college or university, which is accredited by the Association of Schools and Colleges
- Show a strong desire to complete their degree program.

Brightspace Submission
To access this resource, easily get the Online Writing Center listed in your courses.
- Go to the Discover tab at the top of your Brightspace homepage.
- In the Discover search bar, type On-Line Writing Center.
- Click “enroll” and the On-Line Writing Center will always be available in your list of courses.
Once you have enrolled in the Online Writing Center, click on the Online Writing Center window and follow the instructions for submitting your paper. Tutors are notified your paper has been uploaded and will generally respond within 24-48 hours with feedback.
