Bell Prairie would like to continue the tradition of honoring our Veteran’s. If you have a Veteran or Activity Military member in your family, and would like to send a photo for our slideshow, please do the following:
 
  • Send the picture to [email protected]
  • Include name of your child and teacher’s name
  • Include service person’s name, rank and branch
 
You are welcome to send in a printed picture with your child also, but please make sure to include all of the information above so that we can return the picture.
 
Please send photos by Tuesday, November 9th.

Inclement Weather
 
The first three inclement weather days will be traditional “snow days” with no in-person or virtual classes. It is our hope that our students, families and staff will use these days to rest, relax and recharge! Teachers may provide enrichment activities online, so please check with your teacher should school be cancelled.
 
Beginning with the fourth inclement weather day, if needed, we will implement virtual learning days. Similar to last school year, all students in grades K-12 will be expected to log in to Canvas and continue learning online.
 
*In the case of a change to normal school operation due to inclement weather, families and staff will be notified as soon as possible in several ways:
District website: nkcschools.org provides the first notification of school closings and other cancellations.
Email, phone call and text message: Phone, email and optional text messages are sent to school families and employees when classes are canceled, delayed or students are released early. District parents may opt-in to receive text messages by texting “YES” to 67587.
Social media: Information will be posted on the district’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Radio & TV: Local stations share announcements on air and on their websites.
Please join us on November 16th from 6pm-8pm at Staley High School. Tri-County Mental Health will be hosting an event for parents. During the event, the film “Resilience” will be shown. This movie focuses on overcoming trauma, the correlation between mental and physical health, and the power of resilience. Tri-County will allow time to process the film and also provide resources to families. The flyer has all the information you need. We hope to see you there!
