24-25 REGISTRATION AND ENROLLMENT

Every child must be registered each year. Registration and Enrollment for the 24-25 school year opens on August 5, 2024. To register your child, please visit https://www.madison.k12.wi.us/registration-enrollment and fill out the online registration form. Please complete this process before August 20 so that we can place students in homerooms.

During the registration process, it is crucial to update phone numbers, email addresses, household address(es), and emergency contact information. Please ensure we have a working email for each parent/guardian, as email is our primary form of communication. This is especially important as we rely on these details for important school communications, such as Classroom Newsletters, Mustang Minutes, and School Messenger.

Your child's teacher will contact you to schedule a Ready, Set, Go! conference the week before school starts. This conference is a valuable opportunity to share important information about your child and learn about the goals and standards for your child's classroom.

Marquette Meet and Greet is August 29, 2024 from 4-5:30pm

The Meet and Greet is a time to drop off school supplies, meet your child's teachers, and briefly visit your child's classroom. Families are also welcome to stay on the playground and visit with other families.

Important Dates

The School Office closes June 10th and will open again August 14th.

Please email Monica at mjpiper@madison.k12.wi.us if you need assistance.

ATTENDANCE MATTERS

Parents and educators share the common goal of ensuring students succeed in school. To achieve this, MMSD has set a target of at least a 94% attendance rate for all students. It's important to note that missing just two days a month adds up to a maximum of 10 days missed during the school year.

Ensure your child comes to school regularly and on time to help them develop a positive view of school and the importance of attendance. Use the last weeks of summer to establish an evening and morning routine and decide on an appropriate bedtime. Research shows that children between the ages of 6 and 12 need 9 to 12 hours of sleep per night.

It's never too early to start instilling good attendance habits in your child. The earlier they learn the importance of regular school attendance, the more likely they are to succeed academically and develop a positive attitude towards learning.

The Marquette garden is off to a great start this year! If you haven’t had a chance to check it out, stop over and take a stroll around! In May, students participating in Garden Club were busy preparing the garden, weeding, planting, mulching, and watering as well as taming and updating the flower gardens around the school sign. In addition, the Green Team is working in collaboration with school leadership to evaluate options for improvements to the outdoor space on Jenifer St. in the coming years.
