August 2019
Hello Marquette Families,

I hope your summer has been enjoyable and full of fun. My family had all sorts of adventures both near and far. We were able to visit my family in Phoenix. The desert sun was hot in June, but we still had fun at splash pads and the pool. Another highlight was joining my husband’s family at Disney World in Florida. My daughter discovered roller coasters with her older cousins. We have also enjoyed all that Madison has to offer in the summer including farmers markets, parks, Concerts on the Square, Dane Dances, outdoor patios, and fests. I have enjoyed running into many Marquette students in the community and hearing about their summer adventures.

Our custodial and maintenance crews have been busy at Marquette this summer. In addition to our normal cleaning and maintenance we’ve had quite a bit of additional work. This work includes new carpeting in the library, upgrades to our HVAC system, new phones, and a keyless entry system for improved security. I want to appreciate all the hard work of our custodial staff to help these projects be successful.

Our teachers have also been busy throughout the summer preparing for the upcoming school year through professional development and other school improvement activities. We have been welcoming new staff members that bring new skills and expertise to our team. I’m amazed and appreciative of the amount of time and effort our staff give to making Marquette a fantastic school.

Enjoy the rest of the summer. I look forward to seeing everyone soon!

Best,
Mrs. Parks
