A Message from Principal Brawley

Dear Shepherd Community,

We were delighted to welcome former Washington Capitals winger Alan May and Slapshot the mascot along with representatives from the Washington Capitals organization, DCPS' Department of Health and Physical Education and various media outlets including CSN, FOX Five and ABC to Shepherd this past Wednesday for a morning of hockey. I even learned a thing or two about holding a hockey stick and hitting the puck!

Likewise, it was exciting to see all of the work of our young scientists and problem solvers on display at NOAA. The judges were definitely impressed with the quality of our students' projects as well as their ability to describe the scientific process.

  Sincerely,

Jade L. Brawley
Principal
