Dress Code

Shepherd Elementary is a uniform school. The uniform consists of a white top and navy blue bottoms. All students are expected to adhere to the uniform policy.

Spirit Day

Every Friday is Spirit Day! Everyone is encouraged to show their Mustang Pride by wearing the school colors, gold and green along with any other Shepherd apparel.

Star Achievers
Greetings Star Achievers Families, 

Star Achievers would like to congratulate Mrs. Riley for serving the Shepherd family with excellence, grace and dignity for many years.  Mrs. Riley's last day will be April 1 st .  Wishing you much success!
 
Shepherd would like to welcome Program Director Byron Greene and Operations Manager Angela Jasper to Star Achievers.  Mr. Greene and Ms. Jasper have many years of experience and they will be working hand in hand to develop an amazing aftercare program.  They both invite any feedback and constructive criticism as they design an inclusive program to meet the needs of the community.
Recently, Ms. Williams became ill. Our prayers are with her and the family.  Students wrote cards to wish her a speedy recovery.

 
SESSA would like to send our condolences to all the families affected by the recent tragedies in Brussels, Belgium.

Spring Break Work
All students received activities that can be completed during the break, including 30-45 minutes daily on ST Math for our students in grades 1-5.
 


Spring Sports
Mr. Walcott will provide a schedule for try-outs and practice for spring sports in the very near future.

Kite Day
Our students certainly enjoyed flying kites on Thursday and Friday! Thank for your support.


4th Annual Toiletry Drive


The 4th Annual Toiletry Drive was a HUGE success! All of the items collected were donated to the  District Alliance For Safe Housing, DASH.  Thank you for your support.

Spring Break Homework for Parents!

Hi families,
In addition to enjoying a well-deserved break, a few homework items for you for Spring Break:

1.   click here  to purchase tickets for the Annual Shepherd Spring Gala.  Don't miss this fantastic event on Saturday May 21st at the Mayflower Hotel from 6:00 PM - midnight.

2.  Visit the top 5 businesses that you use.  Ask if they will sponsor the Annual Shepherd Gala or make a donation for the auction.  Visit the auction website for the donation solicitation letter.

3.  Think about whether you are ready to make an even bigger commitment to Shepherd ES for next year.  More info to come on how to volunteer to run for a position on the Shepherd PTA Board.

4.  Respond to the email with a link to verify your family's contact information for the upcoming Shepherd on-line directory.  The email is from "Shepherd Elementary Directory Administrators" or "ShepherdElementary@schooldirectoryupdat
e.com".

5.  If you know there is information that you do not want to include in the school directory, then complete, sign, and return this form to your child's teacher by April 6th, 2016.
