WELL READ | BOOKS WE LOVE
The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks & Sarah Pekkanen

Clear your calendar and plan to stay up late once you pick up this whip smart read! With plenty of plot twists, this instant best-seller had us flipping pages at hyper speed, creating a guessing game to the very last page. While it’s being compared as the “best domestic thriller since Gone Girl,” this story offers more in the form of strong female roles banding together, and less of the “wife/girlfriend as victim.” The writing is sharp, the pace break neck, the reading experience – pure fun! Note: Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Partners is now planning a film of this excellent psychological thriller. (New Fiction)

Her Right Foot by Dave Eggers
This is the children’s picture book we’re all reading around the library! The history of Lady Liberty is beautifully told with style, sophistication and a bit of humor. Egger’s writing, combined with beautiful illustration by Shawn Harris, imparts an important message so relevant to our time. Read it yourself, read it to a child in your life, share at every chance you get. Definitely one of our favorites! (New Picture Books)

The All Girls Filling Station Last Reunion by Fannie Flagg

Audiobook gold here! Fabulous, fun-filled and epic in scope. This is one of those audiobooks that will have you sitting in your car listening, long after you’ve been parked in the driveway. The story’s foundation rests on a little-known aspect of America’s 20 th century history with a rich plot and colorful, well drawn out characters. The audiobook is narrated by the author in her soulful Southern drawl which makes for pure ear candy. Escape the winter and travel down south – a pleasure trip with this entertaining audio “read!” (Fiction Audiobook)
