For the past couple of decades, my career in the travel industry has continually led me to define and redefine what adventure truly means. My journey began with operating motorcycle tours in North Vietnam. Back then, adventure was narrowly defined—an unreliable Belarussian motorcycle, unpaved and uncertain roads, remote homestays, and a fair share of unexpected surprises.

As I transitioned to leading the production for one of the country’s most renowned outdoor adventure tour specialists, my perspective broadened. Kayaking, mountain biking, trekking — adventure took on a wider scope. A few more years and a new role in the B2B world of a DMC expanded this vision even further. Serving a diverse clientele, each seeking adventure on their own terms with unique demands, I began to understand that adventure is deeply personal and subjective.
