My Meat!!! 1/15/25
Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV)
5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

2025 is officially here-PRAISE GOD!!!
In surfing the net LATE the other night, I was pleasantly surprised to see a young performer whom I enjoy watching, sitting with an open Bible and proclaiming the above Scriptures. (You KNOW it is Holy Spirit when He BURNS/ENLIGHTENS HOLY Scripture deep in your spirit and soul!)
I PRAY and trust that Holy Spirit uses this message to do likewise........
I also read something this past week or weeks that more perfectly enlightens PRAYER to me. PRAYER'S main purpose is NOT to address our MANY needs and wants, BUT to more fully align ourselves with the WILL and PURPOSE of our Heavenly Father.
Just as our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, PRAYED:
Luke 22:42 (KJV)
42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
Clearly, Jesus did NOT relish the upcoming HORRENDOUS trial He was facing!!!
1 John 5:14 (KJV)
14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
This Scripture is rarely quoted in reference to real PRAYER!!! Note that the writer clearly states:
“IF we ask anything ACCORDING TO HIS WILL, he heareth us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Pastor Rick Warren, in his excellent book, THE PURPOSE DRIVNE LIFE, opened his book with this:
“ITS NOT ABOUT YOU!!!”

Did not our Lord teach us to PRAY thus???
Matthew 6:9-13 (KJV)
9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Please note His Words, “THY KINGDOM COME, THY WILL BE DONE.....”
AND
“FOR THINE IS THE KINGDOM, AND THE POWER, AND THE GLORY!!!!!!!”
Also this:
Revelation 4:11 (KJV)
11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
Please note again the Holy Words, “AND FOR THY PLEASURE..............................
THEY ARE AND WERE CREATED!!!”
In short, my beloved brethren, WE ARE AND WERE CREATED FOR GOD'S PLEASURE!!!!!
Our sole existence is and was for and to give God pleasure!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Our job, our task, our reason for living is solely to hear and more fully comprehend and execute the Father's WILL!!!!!!!!!!!
John 5:19 (KJV)
19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
Jesus SOLELY existed and lived to DO His Father's Will!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I close with an very private and simple illustration. At one time I was an associate minister AND Music Minister of a large Church.
My job, my sole purpose was to prepare the musicians and singers for the many services but once on stage it was necessary that I be “of one accord, of one mind” with the worship leader!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Philippians 2:2 (KJV)
2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
My consistent PRAYER was to know the leader's mind and spirit so as to facilitate an atmosphere most conductive for Holy Spirit to act and flow.
Today, may each of us strive more fully KNOW God the Father, God the Son, and Holy Spirit!!!
May our “meat” be as Jesus:

34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.
