Read: Psalm 29
May the Lord give strength to his people!
May the Lord bless his people with peace!
Psalm 29:11
David knew what it was like to go through storms. He was a chief authority when it came to calamity in life. Christians today learn from our ancestors about storms that we may face. Psalm 29 teaches me to prepare myself for unfortunate events that will occur in my life. It teaches me that when I do have calamity in my life, I am to trust and hold onto God’s Holy Word.
I get to praise God for all that he has done for me in my life and for rescuing me from many storms that wanted to carry me away from Him. Major storms come in many forms and as Christians, we prepare ourselves for the most and expect the best in Christ's sovereignty. This Psalm tells us that God is the Voice that speaks to us when we are down, He is Powerful and Majestic to supply all our needs. The Lord is faithful to sustain us and gives us the strength to endure all trials and tribulations that we may experience in life.
And Finally, the Psalmist tells us that the Lord will bless us with peace and love. God’s peace surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. “And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. (Col. 3) Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace at all times in every way. (2 Thess. 3:16)
