MyChart: Spring 2019 Project Update
Since the project update provided last year, much progress has been made to deploy MyChart in South West Ontario.

Late last summer, ClinicalConnect was 'connected' with MyChart. Data contributed to ClinicalConnect by acute care hospitals and oncology centres can be viewed by patients who have registered for a MyChart account.

As part of this project, ClinicalConnect data-contributing organizations are required to sign agreements to enable their data to 'flow' through ClinicalConnect to MyChart.

Hospitals across South West Ontario are currently at various stages of making their data available in MyChart and assisting with the registration of their patients so they can request a MyChart account.

To see a current list of sites which have made their data available in MyChart and where patients can register for an account, please click here.

We're also pleased to share that the first patient adoption milestone was achieved in mid-April, and the project team is well on its way to the second patient adoption milestone, requiring 9,750 users be registered with MyChart accounts as our next wave of hospital sites come aboard.

From a technical perspective, work is underway to allow historical data to flow from ClinicalConnect to MyChart (currently a filter limits data to flow from January 1, 2018 onwards) as well as to reduce the data release delay for lab data from 11 calendar days to 0 days.

We look forward to providing you with further updates as deployment of MyChart continues into the summer and fall.

In a Patient's Words
"For me, it was quickly apparent that timely and immediate access to Clinical Records would be useful in keeping me informed and prepared for conversations with the medical personnel in charge of my care.  It also became apparent that this information would be available for me to share and distribute to others."
- Peter, Patient and Family Advisor, MyChart User, Hamilton, ON
