At 18 years old Chelsea Romano was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. She spent several years in unstable relationships, unable to keep employment and found herself in hospital many times. She experienced manic upswings, made unhealthy lifestyle choices, engaged in self-harm and even attempted suicide. Finally, she was connected to St. Joe’s counselling services and therapy programs and started to take care of herself again.

Chelsea is running and fundraising for St. Joe’s women’s mental health programs at the Shoppers Run for Women on June 1 because St. Joe’s turned her life around. Join her and register to walk, run and fundraise today!
