BOARD MEMBER RECRUITMENT

With many of our current Board Member's terms expiring this year or next, we urgently require new Volunteer Board Members in order to keep our society going. If you, any family members or friends possess the necessary skills to be a volunteer Board member, please consider volunteering. The commitment is 10 meetings a year during the evenings, majority are via Zoom. Remember that a candidate can join as a Member at Large to learn about the Society in more detail before taking on additional responsibilities.  We are currently searching for the following positions to be filled over the next 2 years:

• President
• Vice President
• Treasurer
• Secretary
• Advocacy
• Technology
• Fund Development
• Membership
• Education



Since the Society was founded we have raised and donated more $2.3 million to local Myeloma research at the University and The Cross Cancer Institute. We continue to need new board members to continue this track record.

DONATION TO MYELOMA RESEARCH

MASS recently donated $125,000.00 raised through fundraising to Dr. Chu's local Multiple Myeloma research. This brings our total donations to $2.3 Million. Paula Valerio accepted the donation on behalf of the University of Alberta.

The success of MASS depends on volunteers. All events, including support meetings, social events, and fund raising, are all organized and executed by volunteers. The MASS Board is also 100% comprised of volunteers. MASS would like to thank everyone who has given their time to contribute to We appreciate your support.

MULTIPLE MILES FOR MYELOMA 2026

Multiple Miles for Myeloma will be taking place on July 18th, 2026 at Hermitage Park in Edmonton. Registration is open:
