USGA HANDICAPS - GHIN
YEARLY MAINTENANCE
It is that time of year again when the GHIN system updates for the new year in 2023. All members will be deactivated on Tuesday, January 31, 2023. We will activate everyone during the month of February, and we can activate same day, so there is no disruption in your GHIN service.

Please download the GHIN app to maintain your handicap at Mystic Creek. The app does so much more including hole-by-hole scoring, stat tracking, course maps/GPS, games, golfer lookup, handicap calculator and has watch integration. To use the app and to be eligible for club tournaments, you must maintain your GHIN services through Mystic Creek Golf Club. The cost for the 2023 season is $35 for the entire year. Please call the pro shop at 870-312-0723 to sign-up for your GHIN handicap. |

The entire team and I want to thank you for a great 2022 and look forward to an even better 2023. We are looking forward to many positive changes this season. Our entire team's focus is to enhance all of your experiences and expectations at Mystic Creek.
We appreciate all members taking personal pride in caring for the course. We are always encouraging the plus one policy. This means continuing to fill your divot plus at least one other.
Please be mindful of our daily cart rules. These are very important to prevent damaged areas on the course. We will begin to utilize the new artificial turf on the range December thru February. This will significantly reduce any unnecessary turf damage that won’t start growing back until Spring.
We encourage you to continue to take advantage of your member discount at our wonderful Mystic Grill. We always encourage making reservations, especially for larger groups, to ensure you a table. There will be specials taking place all throughout the new year, so be looking out for these on all our social media and email outlets. For best results, download our app to receive all the current updates along with direct access to our event calendar for both Golf and Dining.

Dear Mystic Creek Golf Club Members,
I hope everyone enjoyed the holidays and had a Happy New Year. We continue to improve the golf operation for the enjoyment of all members and guests. We have lowered our guest fees to reflect the winter guest rates through February, so we invite you to bring your friends and family out to experience the great golf at Mystic Creek Golf Club.
ONE-MAN SCRAMBLE – The Saturday STIX game is bringing back our popular ONE-MAN Scramble. This event is an 11am shotgun and is open to members and guests and features a special rate for guests ($60 – Includes green fee, cart fee, tournament fee). The dates for the Saturday STIX ONE-MAN Scramble are 2/11 – 11am Shotgun and 3/18 – 11am Shotgun. The January event sold out, so sign up early.
All events will now be flighted by handicap to give more people an opportunity to win prizes, but you don’t have to have a handicap to play. Beginners will receive the max handicap. To sign up for any event or for your GHIN handicap, please call the Pro Shop at 870-312-0723.

Happy New Year from the entire Mystic Creek Agronomy Staff! We look forward to another successful year of providing championship quality playing surfaces!
We have been busy tackling our typical winter list such as, cutting dead trees, edging everything, trimming creeks and overgrown areas, limbing trees, refinishing tee markers, equipment winter rebuilds, filling divots, cleaning up limbs, freshening pine straw bed definition, planning our 2023 agronomic calendar, and executing our first round of weed control.
Next up on the project plan….. We will start working on clubhouse landscape maintenance, continuing leveling irrigation heads, freshening bunker drainage and sand, creek repair, irrigation repair, and drainage repair.
We are Getting closer to growing season, but we are still about 3 months away from being able to recover from traffic and wear and tear. It is critical that everyone follow the cart rules and be respectful of wet areas because we will be looking at this turf, cart tracks, and traffic patterns until mid-spring.
Thank you to all that are continuing to rake bunkers, fill divots, fix ball marks, picking up broken tees, placing cigarette butts in the trash, not leaving sunflower seeds on the greens, and following the CART RULES.

We are going to be stepping up our marketing game, so you'll be seeing a lot more emails, social media posts, and push notifications from me. I hope that you will use these to help plan your visits to Mystic Creek Golf Club.
We will be planning Mystic Grill specials at month end for the following month. We will send emails monthly and weekly and post daily specials on facebook and instagram. We have so many new menu items coming this year for Mystic Grill, so we hope you will make time to bring your family or friends out.
One thing we have finally gotten up and going recently is our club calendar on the Mystic Creek Golf Club website and Mystic Creek Golf Club App.
Below is a quick tutorial on how to work the calendar - it works the exact same from the website and the app:
1. Log In to your member account on the website or the app
(If you do not have your login information, contact me and I can get it for you)
2. On the home page, select calendar
3. Once the calendar is up, select the month and year you wish to view
4. Once the month and year are selected, go to the filter by category drop-down and select either golf or dining and social
5. You can select month to see details in calendar form or select list to see details in list form
