Mystic Whaler in Santa Barbara

Mystic Whaler just completed another October full of learning experiences in Santa Barbara! Between our experiential learning on board with local students and welcoming visitors on board to experience and learn about Mystic Whaler, we met over 1000 people over the month. We are so grateful to the Santa Barbara community and the Santa Barbara Maritime Museum for their support of Mystic Whaler's educational Mission! We'll be back in SB in April of 2025 to continue the educational journey...

Mystic Whaler and Parade of Lights at Channel Islands Harbor!

Mystic Whaler will once again take part in the Parade of Lights at Channel Islands Harbor on December 14th!

At 6:30 p.m., we will begin boarding for the Viewing Party for the Parade of Lights. This will be a ticketed event. Tickets will be available beginning on November 15th on the Mystic Whaler website. (All proceeds from ticket sales go towards Mystic Whaler's educational programs for local youth). Guests will view the Parade of Lights from Mystic Whaler's deck while they enjoy hors d'oeuvres and non-alcoholic beverages. This is a non-sailing event.

Dockside Education With Mystic Whaler

Are you looking for unique and engaging educational experiences for students or young people? Mystic Whaler offers a variety of hands-on dockside programs that can enhance curriculum and inspire a lifelong love of learning. Mystic Whaler has just opened field trip dates for its Channel Islands Harbor location for the months of February and March 2025!

Our programs are designed to promote:

• STEAM Academic Comprehension: Integrate science, technology, engineering, arts, and math concepts into real-world learning experiences.
• Environmental Stewardship: Foster a deep appreciation for the ocean and its ecosystems, and promote responsible environmental practices.
• Teamwork and Collaboration: Encourage students to work together, develop problem-solving skills, and build confidence.
• Nautical Skills: Teach students basic nautical skills, including knot tying, sailing terminology, and navigation.
