Women's History Month
In February 1980, President Jimmy Carter issued the first Presidential Proclamation declaring the Week of March 8th 1980 as National Women's History Week.

In 1987, Congress declared March as National Women's History Month in perpetuity. 

The 2018 Theme for National Women's History Month is "Nevertheless, She Persisted: Honoring Women Who Fight All Forms of Discrimination Against Women."   

Read Across America, March 2
The National Education Association's Read Across America Day is a nationwide reading celebration that takes place annually on March 2, Dr. Seuss's birthday.

According to the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), children who were read to frequently are more likely to:
  • count to 20, or higher than those who were not (60% vs. 44%)
  • write their own names (54% vs. 40%)
  • read or pretend to read (77% vs. 57%)

My sister, brother, and I read Dr. Seuss books so much that their spines had to be reinforced with tape. 

As a kid, I didn't understand how ham turned green or something under Little Cat Z's hat cleaned disgusting messes. I simply remembered wanting to read stories with the big hat pictures.

Sequel Hints

The sequel, " Mystical Aria: Spaceship Diary," will tell how Aria got the idea in 2028 for " Aria's Universe: Do Good Aliens Exist?"
