16th November 2022| Issue #28

Dear Anjaney Borwankar,

We trust you are well.

The 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference, more commonly referred to as COP27, is the 27th United Nations Climate Change conference. COP27 is being held until the 18th of November in Egypt. At this forum, important decarbonisation commitments are being made by maritime leaders. For example, the "Joint Statement on Green Hydrogen and Green Shipping" commits signatories, such as A.P. Moller-Maersk, to the rapid adoption of green hydrogen-based fuels in order to achieve the full decarbonisation of the maritime industry by 2050.

At Navozyme, we continue to raise awareness about decarbonisation and in a week from now, the next edition of the Blue Seas Webinar Series will host sustainable fashion designer and marine conservationist Jessica Giannotti and award winning industrial designer Ian Myles. The webinar will explore how smart design intertwined with tech innovation could play a role in the conservation of our oceans. You can register for the webinar here.
