That was the headline from the New York Times this morning.  In a lengthy feature from one of the world's leading newspapers, the piece highlights Quonset's "rebirth" and role as an economic engine for Rhode Island.  The story also focuses on what has led to the Business Park's success and how it has become "a model as Rhode Island tries to improve its economy."

With more than 200 companies, nearly 11,000 employees, and the Port of Davisville being one of the Top 10 auto importers in North America the story noted that "Quonset has become a new little city of varied companies."

The article features several photos from throughout the Business Park, and includes quotes from many of Rhode Island's key leaders, including Governor Gina Raimondo, Senator Jack Reed, and Senator Sheldon Whitehouse.

"'Quonset is a great success,' said the state's governor, Gina M. Raimondo.   Not only do the companies there provide jobs, she said, but many of them are well-paying jobs, which Rhode Island needs," the article said.

Many Quonset tenants are also highlighted in the piece. Representatives from Greencore and Edesia spoke about how Quonset's Site-Readiness program was crucial in their decision to come to the Park.

"We built in less than 12 months," said Rene Ouimet, a Greencore senior vice president.  Ouimet added that it was Quonset's ability to speed the process along that made the new location so attractive to the company.
