Honoring Juneteenth: 6/19

Juneteenth marks the day in 1865 when the last enslaved African Americans learned of their freedom! As we honor this day of liberation and resilience, we also recognize that freedom includes the right to be heard. At the National Aphasia Association, we stand in solidarity with the Black community and affirm that every voice—spoken or unspoken—deserves to be valued, supported, and understood.

Ask the Expert: The Special June Edition

The NAA was thrilled to have a panel of individuals from the Ambassador Program for June's webinar! We heard about how advocacy is advancing and impacting the understanding of aphasia by real life storytelling and engagement!

It's a New Day With the NAA

Week Three

SPREAD THE LIGHT

June 2025 brings recognition that it's A NEW DAY WITH THE NAA! We, collectively, will change the landscape, bringing the work of small aphasia groups, established aphasia centers, committed aphasia researchers and everyone in between into the light!

So what else is happening in JUNE?

We have been so thrilled with the sharing that is happening on the NAA's Community Hub! This private Facebook Group allows individuals to share the advocacy they are involved in, ask questions and engage in this amazing community!

Keep it up!
