PPA Resources for YOU!

PPA Awareness Day was the start of something GREAT!

The NAA hosted the first annual International PPA Awareness Day. We are adding the resources from that collaboration HERE on our website and have the replay of the 4/4/2025 Webinar for you to replay and share!

Did you know that the increase in PPA awareness, programming and a $10,000 grant is the direct result of a family & company starting a fundraiser with the NAA as a benefactor?

The Outdrive Aphasia initiative is now an annual golf tournament being held during Aphasia Awareness Month! We are incredibly grateful for this effort and all of those who take the time to share information on aphasia with the wider community!

Speaking of GIVING...

In this newsletter we are announcing our THREE grants and already know that this year the need is even greater if we are to truly support the Aphasia Researchers! Imagine what we could give to these investigators to continue their important work without additional funding stress that is a reality for many of our colleagues.

If you would like to donate to THIS particular need... Click the button below and PUT "Research Grant Support" in the notation/form or on the memo line of your check!

Give to the NAA's Grant Program:We don't "do" research, we support those who "do"!

Help people with aphasia at hospital discharge

People with aphasia and their families often have concerns and complaints about the lack of information they received during their hospital stay and discharge.

The NAA is tackling this problem. Here is a co-developed, aphasia-friendly Discharge Checklist created with support from Medstar National Rehabilitation Hospital. We invite you to download the Checklist and use this at your facility. Please share with case managers and others.

Contact us answers@aphasia.org  with questions and to let us know about how you are using it. If you need to customize it, you may do so.

Newsletter News...

Thank you for your patience as we transition to a new email / newsletter platform. We are addressing "lists" to be sure that you all receive the information that you need and want without overloading your email-inbox! Our priority is "ease of access" to our programs and resources. While this will take a couple of weeks to complete, we promise it will be worth it! Have a wonderful Wednesday and stay tuned for some big announcements at the end of the week!
