DETROIT, MI – “Empower Our Ethnicity and Gender,” a March 1 program and dinner at Birmingham’s Robert Kidd Gallery, will help women professionals break barriers. The evening is part of the signature Learn & Grow series by the Detroit chapter of the National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP).
Featured speaker is Beth Cafaro, a highly successful professional with extensive business operations, legal and human resources experience. The evening will begin with dinner, networking and an “ArtTalk” on the art world’s history of prejudice against women artists.
In her keynote, Ms. Cafaro will dissect challenges women face in workplaces and explore practical ways to deal with ethnic and gender issues. A Q&A session will follow. Ms. Cafaro, an attorney, was vice president of Catholic Health Services physician practice operations and president of CHI Physician Services in Englewood, Colorado. She has held leadership positions in Southeast Michigan's Saint Joseph Mercy Health System and the Henry Ford Health System.
