The NAAB is thrilled to welcome its new executive director, Tanya Tamarkin. Tanya started at the NAAB on October 14, 2019. She began her tenure by attending the NAAB Annual Meeting and the ACSA Administrators Conference, among other engagements. Tanya previously worked for the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, last serving as its chief accreditation officer. Her experience includes working in the fields of regulatory compliance, accreditation, and nonprofit management at such organizations as the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards and the Council for Accreditation of Counseling & Related Educational Programs.
Tanya said about her new position, “I am honored to be selected as executive director for the NAAB, an organization that is committed to ensuring the quality of architecture education and increasing diversity in architecture programs. In my new role, I look forward to working collaboratively with and supporting the NAAB’s partners and stakeholders in our collective mission of furthering quality assurance in architecture education and supporting the profession of architecture.”
