Visiting Team Pool Nominations Reminder
The NAAB is seeking nominations for individuals to serve on visiting teams for accreditation visits scheduled between January 1, 2020, and December 31, 2023. Requests have been sent to ACSA, AIA, AIAS, and NCARB, and the NAAB hopes to receive 20-30 nominees from each collateral. The NAAB is looking for individuals who fit the following profiles:

  • Full-time educators who have served as program administrators and have familiarity with a range of program types
  • Registered architects who have a demonstrated interest in architecture education and are current in the range of the skills necessary for contemporary practice.
  • Current architecture students enrolled in a NAAB-accredited degree program. B. Arch. students must be in their last two years of study.

In particular, the NAAB seeks nominations from a diverse range of individuals, especially from traditionally underrepresented groups in the profession. Nominees will be required to complete the NAAB’s team training program—both online and face-to-face—before participating on a visiting team. Availability is a critical component of being assigned to a team. Spring visits generally occur between late January and early April of each year; fall visits are typically scheduled between late September and early November.

If you are interested in serving on a visiting team, please contact your respective collateral organization to express interest. Collateral nominations are due March 15, 2019. Alternatively, individuals may self-nominate to serve on a visiting team by submitting a self-nomination form . Instructions on how to self-nominate can be found in Section 2.5.b of the 2015 NAAB Procedures for Accreditation .
