Spring 2026

NAAB Accreditation Standards Revision

In October 2025, NAAB announced the launch of the development process for the next set of accreditation standards and outlined a multi-year, stakeholder-informed approach to reviewing and revising the current Conditions. As we shared, this work will be grounded in broad and inclusive stakeholder input, including extensive, ongoing feedback NAAB has received since the publication of the 2020 Conditions & Procedures.

Standards Revision Committee

In February, NAAB announced the appointment of the Standards Revision Committee (SRC) members. This committee will guide the development of the next iteration of the accreditation standards as part of NAAB’s regular eight-year review cycle.

The standards revision process is planned to occur throughout 2026 and 2027, with new accreditation standards projected to be published on January 1, 2028, and go into effect on January 1, 2029.

To keep our stakeholders informed about the standards revision process, NAAB has created a "microsite" on the NAAB website that will house updates and resources.
