Brands must evolve to stay relevant, and NAAE is no different. Our current logo was introduced in 1997 when delegates at our annual convention voted to change the name of our organization from the National Vocational Agricultural Teacher's Association to the National Association of Agricultural Educators.

NAAE's Communities of Practice Service Contract to end March 1, 2022
After more than 14 years, the NAAE Communities of Practice service contract will be ending, effective March 1, 2022. This decision was based on the lack of participation and usage of the platform, management fees, and the migration to other web-based community platforms. We encourage all NAAE’s Communities of Practice users to download any content they may want to keep before the platform is no longer accessible on March 1, 2022. Applications are now open for the 2022 National Agriscience Teacher Ambassador Academy!
The National Agriscience Teacher Ambassador Academy (NATAA) has over 15 years of successfully cultivating agriscience and inquiry-based learning in agricultural education. The Academy serves to train agriculture teachers on how to enhance the science that is already present in agriculture, as well as develop students as problem solvers and thinkers through the inquiry-based teaching method. If selected as a National Agriscience Teacher Ambassador, you will be required to attend a national training session. The session is scheduled to be held the week of July 18-22, 2022. NAAE/ACTE National Policy Seminar
The NAAE/ACTE National Policy Seminar is held annually in Washington, DC. This event is a great way to get involved in shaping agricultural education legislative support through advocacy. This year's event will take place March 21-23, 2022. NAAE will pay the registration for one person per state. More information from NAAE is coming soon. Creating an Inclusive, Diverse, Equitable, and Accessible Program (IDEAP) Future Agriscience Teacher Symposium
NAAE is offering full scholarships for preservice agricultural education majors to attend our Creating an Inclusive, Diverse, Equitable and Accessible Program (IDEAP) Future Agriscience Teacher (FAST) symposium, which will be held in Lexington, Kentucky beginning the evening of March 30 and ending at noon on Saturday, April 2.
The Future Agriscience Teacher (FAST) Symposium is a professional development experience for preservice agricultural education majors which provides customized professional development, networking, and mentoring with current and future agriculture teachers from across the country. The IDEAP FAST will focus on creating an inclusive, diverse, equitable and accessible classroom environment, inquiry-based learning, professional development. and collegiality.

2022-2023 NAAE National Teach Ag Ambassador Program
Each year, the National Association of Agricultural Educators selects agricultural education majors from across the United States to serve as NAAE National Teach Ag Ambassadors. The primarily goal for the ambassador program is to promote agricultural education in an effort to address the high demand for agriculture teachers. More information about the 2022-2023 NAAE National Teach Ag Ambassador Program will be available in June.

CURRICULUM FOR AGRICULTURAL SCIENCE EDUCATION (CASE)
Registration is OPEN for 34 CASE Institutes this summer - virtual and in-person options!
Since 2007, CASE has certified more than 3,000 teachers in 11 courses at CASE Institutes nationwide. These 9-10 day professional development events, hosted by affiliate institutions, take teachers through 150 days of the inquiry-based, STEM-centered curriculum. My Local Cooperative Learning Modules
The National Association of Agricultural Educators is working in partnership with the CHS Foundation to offer engaging and inquiry based instructional materials that have everything you need to deliver quality instruction on the cooperative business model, the impact of cooperatives on the community and cooperative career opportunities. In early 2020 a third module will be available that provides a real-life mock cooperative experience for your students. The modules are yours to use and come with everything you need; materials list, teacher notes, handouts, presentation tools, assessments and more. Click here to access the modules.

New Farmers of America: Past, Present, and Future
In 1965, the New Farmers of America (NFA) and the National FFA Organization became one. Watch this presentation to learn more about the New Farmers of America, the events that led to the New Farmers of America and National FFA becoming one, the implications of the organizations becoming one and how we can teach current and future FFA members members about the NFA.
This workshop was presented by Dr. Antoine Alston, Associate Dean and Professor at North Carolina A&T University and Dr. Dexter Wakefield, Associate Dean at Alcorn State University at the 2021 NAAE Convention.

Growth Energy Biofuels Curriculum
The curriculum is the first industry-supported biofuels curriculum that provides students a guided in-classroom experience and will offer agricultural educators the tools needed to provide students with an array of technical skills and historical knowledge in biofuels.
What is in the biofuels curriculum?
- Learn the historical, political, and technological aspects of the relationship between biofuels and agriculture
- Conduct STEM-based experiments and lab work on ethanol’s distillation, combustion, and energy content
- Access downloadable presentations to help student’s visualize the impact and history of ethanol

The National Association of Agricultural Educators is a federation of state agricultural educators' associations with more than 9,000 members. NAAE members are involved in school-based agricultural education at any level, from middle school through postsecondary, and state and national agricultural education leadership.
NAAE advocates for agricultural education, provides professional development for agricultural educators, and works to recruit and retain agricultural educators in the profession. NAAE offers a variety of programs and services to support this three-pronged mission including leading the National Teach Ag Campaign, managing the Curriculum for Agriscience Education (CASE), and administering all aspects of My Local Cooperative. NAAE programs are vast and expansive to reach every member of every age and at every stage of their career.
