2023 National Agriscience Teacher Ambassador Academy | |
The National Agriscience Teacher Ambassador Academy (NATAA) was held July 8-12, 2024 in Lexington, Kentucky. NATAA is a professional development institute available to all members of NAAE. The process and selection to become an agriscience ambassador is rigorous, with a limited number of openings each year.
15 agricultural educators were selected to participate in this year’s professional development academy. Since its inception in 2003, National Agriscience Teacher Ambassadors and the teachers they have trained have impacted well over a million students across the United States, from Puerto Rico to Alaska. Furthermore, Agriscience Teacher Ambassadors conduct workshops around the U.S. to share
the same concepts with other science and agricultural educators. More than 3,500 educators have been trained by Agriscience Teacher Ambassadors.

August 2024 NAAE Committee Meetings | |
NAAE prides itself in being a grassroots organization. Our committee structure and process are critical to the growth and success of NAAE, allowing our members to have a strong voice in directing the future of our organization.
The NAAE Committees will meet in August. Committee members will receive more information via email about the upcoming meetings. All meetings will take place at 6:30 p.m. ET. While only official NAAE committee members are allowed to vote, all members are invited to participate in NAAE committee meetings.

2024-2025 NAAE Membership Has Now Begun | |
The 2024-2025 NAAE Membership Year began on July 1, 2024. This means your NAAE membership benefits, such as professional liability insurance through Forrest T. Jones & Company, access to NAAE professional development and more will be unavailable until your 2024-2025 NAAE membership has been received and processed by the NAAE office. Your state ag teacher's association leaders should contact you soon in regards to 2024-2025 NAAE membership. | |
National #TeachAg Collegiate Lesson Plan Contest
NAAE will be hosting a National #TeachAg Collegiate Lesson Plan Contest in conjunction with the 2024 NAAE National #TeachAg Day. The goal of contest is to empower pre-service agricultural educators to advocate for the agricultural education career by using their creative ability to develop a lesson plan highlighting teaching agriculture. NAAE Creating an Inclusive, Diverse, Equitable and Accessible Program (IDEAP) Future Agriscience Teacher (FAST) Symposium
NAAE is offering scholarships for preservice agricultural education majors to attend our Creating an Inclusive, Diverse, Equitable and Accessible Program (IDEAP) Future Agriscience Teacher (FAST) symposium, which will be held in Raleigh, North Carolina beginning travel on September 11 with the program concluding on September 14.The FAST Symposium will focus on creating an inclusive, diverse, equitable and accessible classroom environment, inquiry-based learning, professional development, and collegiality.
